The Duffs believe Red Brangus, as one of Australia’s fastest growing breeds, will one day be as numerous as Droughtmasters and Santa Gertrudis are today. Many clients are using Red Brangus to improve these breeds. Red Brangus are making a huge impact on the Australian cattle population because of their tick resistance, great fertility, excellent carcass traits and capacity to do well in all types of conditions. The old saying is true “ANY COUNTRY IS BRANGUS COUNTRY” Red Brangus are derived from the two greatest breeds of the beef world – Angus and Brahman. With the huge gene pool offered by these two breeds and the Australian Brangus Cattle Association’s open policy in terms of ‘upgrading to Brangus’ there is no limit to the breeds capacity to improve and expand. |
